MORRIS FULLER BENTON BOOKLET
Showcasing Century Schoolbook Typeface
Morris Fuller Benton was a man who created several different typefaces and some of them are commonly known. This book is a showcase of Century schoolbook typeface that he had once created. It shows the history behind it, why it was made, and showcases its features. This book was made in a typography course as one of the assignments to research/learn more about typefaces. The use of one color was one of the restraints given. The coral color paired well with the black and was used as an accent color. The color is shown with different layers and opacities to give the book more depth and range than using it as one flat color. The pages are meant to flow together, with some surprises such as the inside front cover and the inside back cover.
